Michele L. Barhorst, 31

Michele L. Barhorst, 31, of 152 Wind Chase Way, Madisonville, Tenn., and formerly  of Celina, died at 2:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, on I-75 near Dayton, as the result of injuries suffered in an auto accident.

She was born on April 3, 1981, in St. Marys, the daughter of Lavern and Nancy (Gerlach) Moeller and they survive in Celina.

She married Scott Barhorst on July 27, 2002; he also died in the accident.

She is survived by her parents; by four children, Tyler Barhorst, Logan Barhorst, Hailie Barhorst and Tori Barhorst, all of Madisonville, Tenn.; by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, James and Connie Barhorst of St. Marys; by two brothers, Chad (Mindy) Moeller of Maria Stein and Doug (Shannon) Moeller of Celina; by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Wilbur and Rita Moeller; maternal grandparents: Clarence (Pauline) Gerlach.

Michele was a 2000 graduate of Celina High School. She was a licensed cosmetologist and was currently employed as an STNA, serving home health patients in Madisonville, Tenn.

She enjoyed making crafts, needlepoint work and drawing. She devoted her life to her children and will be remembered as a very loving mother.

She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Madisonville, Tenn.

A joint Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Michele and Scott Barhorst at 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Montezuma, the Revs. Rick Friebel and James Dugal, concelebrants.

Burial will follow at Guadalupe Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St. Marys, where memorial gifts may be given to a college fund for Michele and Scott’s children.
