Michael J. Schulze, 58, of Beavercreek, died on Saturday, March 17, 2012, while mountain bike riding at Huffman Park in Fairborn.
He was born on Sept. 18, 1953, in Coldwater, to Richard and Agnes (Hausfeld) Schulze, and they survive in Maria Stein.
His life partner since 1977 and wife Jacqueline (Robinson) were married on Nov. 12, 1990, and she survives in Beavercreek.
He is also survived by two brothers, Bill (Donna) of Cape Cod, Mass., and Nick (Julie) of Maria Stein; four sisters, Karen (Elmer) Klepaski of Coldwater, Ginny (Jay) Winner of New Bremen, Linda (John) Huelsman and Angie (Jim) Wynk, both of Maria Stein; a brother-in-law, Wolfram (Ludwiga) Sornik of Munich, Germany; eight nieces; six nephews.
Michael was a 37-year employee of Wright State University, and he had been serving as senior facilities planner, facilities planning and development. He was a 1971 graduate of Marion Local High School and 1973 graduate of ITT Technical Institute.
Funeral arrangements are being made by Newcomer Funeral Home in Beavercreek. There will be no viewing.
Private graveside ceremonies will be held at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Beavercreek.
The family will hold two celebration of life gatherings to accept visitors and condolences. The first will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at The Spiritual Center of Maria Stein, 2291 St. John Road. The second gathering will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday in the The Berry Room of the Nutter Center on the campus of Wright State University.
