Melvin Donald Leugers, 74

Melvin Donald Leugers, 74, of Celina, passed away at 1:34 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at Laurels of Shane Hill in Rockford.

He was born on Jan. 12, 1938, in Neptune, to the late Henry and Nellie (Schwartz) Leugers.

He is survived by his two sons, Donald (Dawn) Leugers of Celina and Scott (Teresa) Leugers of Celina; a daughter, Linda (David) Eichler of Celina; seven grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law.

Melvin was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law; by a sister and brother-in-law.

Melvin served his country in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1963.

A memorial gathering will be held at his daughter’s house from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, at 209 Portland St. in Celina.

The Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
