Mary Lou Nagel, 84

Mary Lou Nagel, 84, of 217 Sturgeon St. in St. Marys, died at 11 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.

She was born on July 18, 1927, in St. Marys, to Edwin and LaVere (Hudson) Martin.

In 1958, she married LeRoy L. Nagel, who survives.

She is also survived by:  three sons, David Nagel  of Bowling Green, Kim (Kay) Nagel  of Union City, Tenn., Kevin Nagel  of St. Marys; 11 grandchildren   17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and LaVere Martin; an infant daughter, Elizabeth Ann Nagel; a son, John Nagel; two brothers, Robert Martin and Jack Martin.

She was a 1945 graduate of Memorial High School in St. Marys and also a graduate of Bliss Business College in Columbus.

She was a homemaker and had worked as a secretary for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in St. Marys.

She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in St. Marys.

Her favorite pastimes included bowling, taking care of her cats and solving Sudoku puzzles.

Funeral rites are scheduled 1:30 p.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church, 210 N. Wayne St. in St. Marys, with the Rev. Bill Maki officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday at Miller - Long & Folk Funeral Home, 314 W. High St. in St. Marys.
