Mary B. Gallimore, 88, formerly of 111 N. Van St., and a resident of Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community, died at 5:05 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, 2011, at Otterbein St. Marys.
She was born on April 5, 1923, in Celina, the daughter of Jacob and Anna (Snow) Sholler, and they preceded her in death.
On Dec. 11, 1943, she married Rolland Gallimore, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 4, 1999.
She is survived by her seven children, Donna Gallimore of Minster, Gary (Pat) Gallimore of St. Marys, Diane Behm of St. Marys, Michael (Charlotte) Gallimore of Maryville, Tenn., Terry Gallimore of St. Marys, Steve Gallimore of St. Marys and Stacey Klinger of St. Marys; 28 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Dorothy George and Lois Rehn, both of Crestline; a brother, Ray Sholler of St. Marys.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Ann Figel.
Mary was a graduate of Blume High School in Wapakoneta. She was a homemaker and had also worked at Fisher Cheese, St. Marys Cotton Mill and Joint Township District Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in St. Marys.
She enjoyed making sewing, knitting, making crafts and camping. She will be remembered as a wonderful cook.
Funeral rites will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Meyer Community Chapel on the campus of Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community, with the Rev. Tim Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 W.
