Mark Aloysius Keller, 64

Mark Aloysius Keller, 64, of Vandalia, passed away on Wednesday March 6, 2013.

Mark was born on March 28, 1948, in St. Henry, to the late Benedict and Elizabeth Bergman Keller.

He grew up in St. Henry, graduating from St. Henry High School in 1966. He attended the University of Dayton and received his BS degree in mechanical engineering in 1970.

As an employee of Rieck Mechanical Services for 45 years, he served as contract manager. Mark was a significant leader in his profession and was active in the following professional organizations: ASPE, ASHRAE, MCA and SMACNA. He was a longtime member of the Dayton Ski Club, enjoyed traveling, and spending time with family and friends at Lake Cumberland, Ky.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn; brother-in-law, Ron Welch; and father-in-law, Vernon Fark.  

He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Joyce (Fark) Keller; brothers, John (Nancy) Keller and Marinus (Laurie) Keller of Dayton, Paul (Claudette) Keller of Vancouver Island, Canada; sister, Mary Keller Welch of Dayton; mother-in-law, Verneda Schwabero Fark of St. Marys; brothers-in-law; John (Estelle) Fark of Marion, Steven (Cheryl) Fark of Jackson Center. He is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews and 10 great-nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 435 E. National Road, Vandalia, OH, 45377.  Mark’s family will receive friends one hour prior to mass at the church. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Marker and Heller Funeral Home, Huber Heights Chapel, 5844 Old Troy Pike.

Interment will be at St. Aloysius Cemetery, Carthagena, at the convenience of the family.
