Marie E. Killian, 92, of New Bremen, formerly of Philadelphia, Pa., died at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at the Elmwood Community of New Bremen.
She was born on Jan. 1, 1920, in Stara Lubovnia, Slovak Republic, the daughter of Joseph and Gizella (Raab) Kuckovsky.
On March 2, 1946, she married Anthony J. Killian Sr., and he preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 1993.
She is survived by her children, Leona (Gerald) Swiacki of Aston, Pa., Anthony J. (Beverly J.) Killian of Sicklerville, N.J., and Christopher M. (Beverly A.) Killian of New Bremen; five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her six brothers, Felix, Steven, Joseph, John Frank and Michael Kuckovsky.
Mrs. Killian was a member of the Church of the Holy Redeemer in New Bremen. She had formerly worked for the Donnelly Directory doing clerical duties, and with the Nicholson File Company, both of Philadelphia, Pa., and she was a homemaker.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Church of the Holy Redeemer in New Bremen, with the Rev. Thomas Mannebach officiating.
A memorial Mass will also be held at a future date in Philadelphia, and then she will be returned to her hometown in Slovakia for interment.
