Marie Duerr Eichenauer, 88

Marie Duerr Eichenauer, 88, of Celina, died at 2:40 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, 2011, at the Celina Manor Nursing Home.

She was born on Sept. 13, 1922, in Adrian, Mich., to Kenneth and Eva (Leonard) Sheldon, and they preceded her in death.

In 1940, she married Elwin H. Duerr Sr., and he preceded her in death on July 27, 1978. She later married Russell K. Eichenauer, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 12, 1995.

She is survived by two sons, Elwin “Butch” Duerr Jr. of Coldwater and Tim Duerr of Indianapolis, Ind.; three daughters, Shirley (Richard) Sibert of Celina, Linda (Roger) LaRue of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Kellie (Kurt) Hoelscher of Celina; a stepson, Eldon (Ruthann) Eichenauer of Celina; a stepdaughter, Reitta Bransteter of Rockford; a sister; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 13 stepgrandchildren; five great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four siblings; a daughter-in-law; a son-in-law.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at W.H. Dick and Sons - Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina. Burial will be held in Mercer Memory Gardens in Celina.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
