Marie Dirksen, 89, formerly of Osgood, died at 8:19 a.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at Dorothy Love Retirement Community.
She was born on Jan. 8, 1923, in Yorkshire, to Walter and Anna (Martino) Lorton, and they preceded her in death.
On June 26, 1943, in Osgood, she married Joseph J. Dirksen, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 23, 1996.
She is survived by her children, Donna (Thomas) Dirksen of Sidney, David (Deb) Dirksen of Bradford, Bernard (DeeDee) Dirksen of Lima and Anne Hamilton of New Bremen; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother; her special friend.
She was preceded in death by six siblings.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Osgood, with the Rev. David Zink officiating. Burial will be at St. Martin Cemetery, Osgood.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
