Margaret M. Hawkey, 87

Margaret M. Hawkey, 87, formerly of Celina, died at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community.

She was born on May 25, 1925, in Celina, to Harry and Ica (Miller) Robbins, and they preceded her in death.

On Feb. 14, 1946, she married William Lloyd Hawkey, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 25, 2007.

Survivors include her son, Phil (Susan) Hawkey of Yellow Springs; a daughter, Barbara (David) LaRoche of Celina; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; a brother; two sisters-in-law; a sister; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, William Hawkey; a brother; two sisters; a brother-in-law.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, with the Rev. Kenneth Schnipke, C.PP.S., officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Celina.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ehlers-Danlos National Foundation.
