Man Faces Charge

ST. MARYS — A 25-year-old male has been charged in connection with an alleged break-in of a residence north of St. Marys.

In a news release issued this morning, Auglaize County Sheriff Al Solomon said deputies arrested a man Thursday afternoon for allegedly breaking into a garage at a residence north of St. Marys.

At approximately 12:14 p.m. Thursday, the sheriff's office received a call from the owner of the residence. The owner reported that he found a man coming out of his garage as he drove by. It was later discovered that the garage had been forcibly entered and items were removed.

A description of a vehicle and the suspect were obtained and a short time later the suspect and vehicle were located in the city of St. Marys by St. Marys police officers.

The 25-year-old male was questioned and later charged with breaking and entering and is incarcerated in the Auglaize County Correctional Center this morning.  

No name is being released as the matter remains under investigation.
