Madeline C. Maurer, 72

Madeline C. Maurer, 72, of 79 S. Main St., Fort Loramie, died at 11 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at her home after a long battle with cancer. 

She was born on July 18, 1940, in Fort Loramie to the late John and Victoria (Borchers) Albers.  She married James R. Maurer on Oct. 28, 1961 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Fort Loramie. He survives in Fort Loramie. 

She is also survived by children Jeff and Julia Maurer, Sidney, Vicki and Moe Quinter, Fort Loramie, James P. and Linda Maurer, Fort Loramie, Bill and Kathy Maurer, Fort Loramie, Jenni and Mark Wilt, Fort Loramie, Ed and Amanda Maurer, Fort Loramie; 18 grandchildren; two brothers and one sister.

She was preceded in death by an infant sister. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael Catholic Church, the Rev. Steven Shoup, officiant. 

Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday. 

Burial will take place in St. Michael Cemetery.
