Lucille E. Lehman, 97, of 216 N. Buckeye St., St. Marys, died at 9:41 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2011, at the St. Marys Living Center.
She was born on Feb. 18, 1914, in Mansfield, the daughter of Gail and Gertrude (Cunningham) Van Tilbrough, and they preceded her in death.
On Aug. 31, 1934, she married Daniel Dale Lehman, and he preceded her in death on July 27, 1986.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Mallory of St. Marys and Judy (Wayne) Wilson of Largo, Fla.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lavida Grimm of Celina.
She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Larry Mallory; a sister, LaVonda (Bonnie) Lehman.
She was a 1932 graduate of Portsmouth High School. A farm wife, she had worked as an inspector in the DWG Cigar Factory in St. Marys and as a floor supervisor for the former G.C. Murphy Company in downtown St. Marys. She was an accomplished seamstress and did alterations for others. She was a member of the Women’s Garden Club, St. Marys All Hobbies Club and served as an advisor for the Noble Workers 4-H Club.
Her favorite pastimes included solving crossword puzzles, playing Scrabble and dominos and traveling. She dearly loved and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday at Miller – Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 W. High St., St. Marys. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
