Lowell E. Loughridge, 87, of 1909 Knapke Court, Celina, died on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, at Celina Manor.

He was born on Jan. 23, 1924, in Celina, to James L. and Ilo D. (Ford) Loughridge, and they preceded him in death.

On Oct. 17, 1945, he married Lucille C. Meier, and she preceded him in death on July 22, 2009.

He is survived by his daughters, Sharon (Edward) Elliott of Dayton, Dianne (Gary) Rolfes of Celina, Sondra (Larry) Roth of Celina and Teresa (Gary) Prill of Van Wert; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother; a stepbrother; a sister-in-law; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers; a sister.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Europe during World War II.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Celina, with the Rev. Matt Reynolds and the Rev. Tony Richmond officiating. Burial will follow in North Grove Cemetery in Celina.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion membership services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel funeral home in Celina and one hour before services at the church Wednesday.
