Loretta I. Bustetter, 84, of Wapakoneta, died at 4:55 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21, 2011, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
She was born on Dec. 13, 1926, in Auglaize County, the daughter of Albert and Anna (Brautigam) Seitz, and they preceded her in death.
On June 6, 1945, she married Alfred A. Bustetter, and he survives her.
She is also survived by four children, Patricia (Thomas) Davin of Ocean Isle Beach, N.C., Michael (Kathy) Bustetter of Charlotte, N.C., Debra (Todd) Meier of Wapakoneta and David (Sara) Bustetter of Cincinnati; 10 grandchildren, Molly (Michael) Hoffmann, Bradley (Kimberly) Davin, Bridget (Jim) Dwyer, Christopher Bustetter, Amanda (Jason) Alge, Abigail (Dane) Roush, Aimee Meier, Shannon, James and Samuel Bustetter; nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Bustetter; a sister, Evelyn Bustetter; two brothers, Vernon and Eldon Seitz.
A homemaker, Loretta was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, where she was a member of the former Christian Mothers. She was active with the Girl Scouts for more than 30 years and also volunteered at God’s Storehouse. She was a 1944 graduate of Blume High School. In years past, she enjoyed fishing and camping.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Matthew Lee officiating. Burial is to follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Wapakoneta.
The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the Long & Folk Chapel of Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, 13 S. Blackhoof St., Wapakoneta.
