Lockie Imogene Wheeler, 80, of Celina, died on Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

She was born on Jan. 21, 1931, in Braggadocia, Mo., to Robert and Nancy (Glidwell) Neal, and they preceded her in death.

She married Albert Hawkins, and he preceded her in death. On Aug. 4, 1982, she married Eugene Jerome “Jack” Wheeler, and he preceded her in death on July 24, 2006.

She is survived by three sons, Bill (Pat) Hawkins of Wabash, Ind., Jim (Linda) Hawkins of Celina and John Hawkins of Celina; two daughters, Diane (Allan) Rathburn of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Nancy Hawkins of Maria Stein; four stepdaughters, Ella (William) Sanchez of Corona, Calif., Cheryl (Ray) Willis of Lima, Jacklene (Ronald) Wick of Sidney and Kathleen (Terry) Reiff of Rockford; a brother; two sisters; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Anita Jane Wheeler; two stepsons, Robert Jerome Wheeler and Cecil Eugene Wheeler; a brother; a sister.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at W.H. Dick and Sons - Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, with the Rev. Herstle Griffis officiating. Burial will be held in Swamp College Cemetery in Celina.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Association of Mercer County. Condolences may be left at Dickandsonshellwarthfh.com.
