ST. MARYS — Area business people have the opportunity to enjoy breakfast, networking time and get an update on some of the latest technology at an annual breakfast.
The St. Marys Community Public Library will host its 13th annual Businessperson’s Breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. April 5. The free program is open to any local businessperson. St. Marys Community Public Library Adult Services Coordinator Beth Keuneke said the annual event is beneficial for the library and area business people.
“It’s a way to connect with the business community,” she said. “It’s good for the people in those local organizations to use it as a networking event.”
The event will begin with breakfast, catered by Creative Catering with Cathy Flinn. Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with their colleagues at that time.
After the breakfast, Steve Johnston from Verizon Wireless will update attendees on the latest technology that is beneficial for business.
“He’s from Verizon Wireless and he’s going to talk about the latest devices, apps, information sharing devices and social media for your business,” Keuneke said.
In addition to the networking opportunity and the update on technology from Johnston, attendees will also leave with an information packet about the St. Marys Community Public Library and all it has to offer area businesses.
Keuneke said the Business Person’s Breakfast offers area business people a slew of opportunities for free.
“They can learn about our topic of the day, and they can also learn about what’s going on at the St. Marys Community Public Library and how public libraries can help them,” she said.
“They can also network and have a good breakfast.”
The sign-up deadline for the St. Marys Community Public Library’s Business Person’s Breakfast is Wednesday, and anyone interested in attending the event can call 419-394-7471.
