Leon J. Hein, 93

Leon J. Hein, 93, formerly of St. Sebastian, died at 1:15 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, at Gardens at Celina.

He was born on March 25, 1918, in Chickasaw, to Henry and Clara (Ronnebaum) Hein, and they preceded him in death.

On Feb. 20, 1943, in Burkettsville, he married Rosa E. (Liette), and she preceded him in death on Dec. 10, 1992. Leon is survived by five children, Diana (Leo) Homan of Maria Stein, Robert (Paula) Hein of Celina, Sandra (Jerry) Braun of Celina, Gale (Dennis) Dellinger of Celina and Tammy (Dean) Klosterman of Celina; 12 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; a brother; a sister; five in-laws.

He was preceded in death by two granddaughters; two sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Montezuma, with the Rev. Rick Friebel, C.PP.S., officiating. Burial will follow in St. Sebastian Cemetery in Celina.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home-Coldwater. Condolences may be left at Hogenkampfh.com.
