Leo J. Osterholt, Sr., 91, formerly of Philothea, and most recently of Coldwater, Mich.; passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 17, 2013.
He was born on April 17, 1922, in Fort Recovery, to the late Bernard and Johanna (Wenning) Osterholt.
He was married on May 8, 1943, to Natalia “Dee Dee” (Barnhart), who passed away on Jan. 5, 2013.
Lee and Dee Dee were the parents of six children, Liz “Betty” Osterholt, Sarasota, Fla.; Michael (Mary Ellen Droesch) Osterholt, Maria Stein, Margaret “Maggie” (Lee) Stachler, Minster, Joann Zbikowski, Dayton, Leo Osterholt Jr., Celina, and Emilie (Dave) Britton, New Bremen; 21 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Philothea.
Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Philothea.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
