Lavern S. Rindler, 86

Lavern S. Rindler, 86, of St. Henry, died at 10:40 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31, 2011, at the Gardens at St. Henry.

He was born on Jan. 1, 1925, in Cranberry Prairie, to Ferd and Mary (Bohman) Rindler, and they preceded him in death.

On Oct. 5, 1948, in North Star, he married Dolores H. (Huber), and she preceded him in death on Sept. 30, 2001.

Lavern is survived by seven children, Madonna and Frank Woeste of St. Henry, Ralph and Janet Rindler of St. Henry, Roger Rindler of St. Henry, Karen and Don Schoenherr of Coldwater, Joyce and Ken Hemmelgarn of North Star, Randy and Barb Rindler of St. Henry and Robert and Sandi Rindler of St. Henry; 25 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a special friend; 10 in-laws.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Joseph and Paul; two grandchildren; two brothers; a sister.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Louis Catholic Church in North Star, with David Zink officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Louis Cemetery in North Star.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater and from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Louis Church in North Star.
