Laura Leona Franck, 94, formerly of Celina, died on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at The Gardens at St. Henry.

She was born on May 9, 1917, in St. Wendelin, to Frank and Clara (Pohlkamp) Brunswick, and they preceded her in death.

On May 4, 1938, she married Leo B. Franck, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 1991.

She is survived by 10 children, Marvin (Pat) Franck, Marlene (Tom) Olding, Virgil (Margaret) Franck, Judy (Kumar) Vakkalanka, Janice Bighouse (Sam Rosengarten), Maurice (Annette) Franck, Wayne (Connie) Franck, Alvin (Pamela) Franck, Ruth (Fred) Wuebker and Mary Beth (William) Heckman; 34 grandchildren; 60 great-granchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters-in-law.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary; a son-in-law; two grandsons; a great-granddaughter; seven siblings and their spouses; 10 brothers- and sisters-in-law and eight of their spouses.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church in Celina. Burial will follow at St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Celina.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Saturday W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina.
