Larry Sattler, 62

Larry Sattler, 62, of Celina, died at 7:45 a.m. Sunday, March 31, 2013, at his residence of natural causes.

He was born on July 21, 1950, in Carson City, Mich., to parents Leonard J. Sattler and Josephine Babe Hiner, both of whom preceded him in death.

On Oct. 5, 1968, he married Barbara Hawkey, who survives in Celina.

Also surviving are a son, Scott and Amy Sattler of Celina; three grandchildren, Kollin, Kalynn and Kole; two brothers, Donald D. and Rusti Sattler of St. Louis, Mich. and Daniel and Dawn Sattler of Farrwell, Mich.; three sisters, Shelly and Ron Kipp of Carson City, Mich., Georgia and Dave Fedewa of Perrinton, Mich. and Debbie and Ron Schrader of DeWitt, Mich.

He was loved and will be missed by all nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Cecil Henry; a brother, Ronald Sattler; his mother and father-in-law, Charles and Rosemary Hawkey; by a sister-in-law, Sherrie Sattler.

He was the previous owner of Midway Trailer Sales, a drag racing member of the NHRA, an NRA member, and a member of the Ducks Unlimited Mercer County Sportsman Club.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina, the Rev. Neal Whitney, officiant.

Burial will be held at a later date at Mercer Memory Gardens.

Calling hours will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. the day of services.

Memorial contributions may be made to the State of the Heart Hospice.
