Kenton J. “Kwboy Ken” Suchland, 69

Kenton J. “Kwboy Ken” Suchland, 69, 830 Hackney St., St. Marys, died at 11:32 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital. 

He was born on May 2, 1944, in Mercer County, the son of Earl and Mildred (Fulk) Suchland Sr.  He married Tura Reinhart on July 2, 1966, and she survives at the residence.

He is survived by one daughter, Diana (Robert) Haskins of St. Marys, three grandchildren, Michael Hoskins, Michelle Hoskins and Danielle Hoskins all of St. Marys and two brothers, Earl (Erma) Suchland Jr. of St. Marys and Charles (Vickie) Suchland of New Bremen.

Kenton worked for many years as a truck driver for St. Marys Beef Company and later for Classic Delight in St. Marys.  He was a security officer for Goodyear and later a school bus driver for St. Marys City Schools.  He opened his own business, Ken’s Cycle Sales in St. Marys, repairing and selling mopeds, motorcycles and bicycles.  He was well-known for starting Kwboy Ken’s Beef Jerky.

He enjoyed riding motorcycles, watching NASCAR and NFL.

He was a member of Mercer Masonic Lodge 121 St. Marys and Ancient Scottish Rites of Dayton.

Visitation hours will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at Cisco Funeral Home, 1175 E. Greenville Road in St. Marys.

Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, the Rev. Robert Ellis officiating. 

Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.  Services have been entrusted to Cisco Funeral Home St. Marys.

Memorial contributions can be made to Auglaize County Humane Society and or St. Judes Hospital.
