Kenneth H. Ziegenbusch, 84

Dr. Kenneth H. Ziegenbusch, 84, of 7295 Oregon Road, Celina, died at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital.

He was born on Dec. 18, 1926, in Jackson Township, to Henry W. and Emma (Bergman) Ziegenbusch, and they preceded him in death.

On June 2, 1956, at St. George Catholic Church in Cincinnati, he married Kitty Hunt Jones, and she survives him in Celina.

He is also survived by his children, Karen Z. (Kevin) Gardner of Lawrenceburg, Pa., Kenneth H. (Kelly) Ziegenbusch Jr. of Sugarcreek and Krista H. Ziegenbusch of Springfield; six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother; two sisters.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, with the Rev. Kenneth Schnipke officiating.

Burial will follow in German-Protestant Cemetery in New Bremen.

Friends may call from 2 p.m to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster and before 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina.

Memorial contributions may be made to the New Bremen Historic Association or to Call Food Pantry in Celina.
