Kathryn G. “Kathy” Welker, 58

Kathryn G. “Kathy” Welker, 58, of Wapakoneta, died at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima, surrounded by her family.  

She was born on March 23, 1953, in Lima, to William “Bill” and Emmagene (Keller) Cool. Her mother survives in Wapakoneta, and her father preceded her in death.  

On March 19, 1983, she married Thomas C. Welker Sr., and he survives her.  

She is also survived by four children, Jeremy A. (Sheri) Welker of Lima, Jodie R. (Ken) Baughman of Wapakoneta, Tytus A. (Jamie) Welker of Nashville, Tenn., and Thomas C. Welker Jr., stationed in Gulfport, Miss.; five grandchildren; two sisters; a brother-in-law; a sister-in-law.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Wapakoneta Community Worship Center, 14871 Fox Ranch Road, Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Dan Holbrook officiating. Burial will be in the Lewis Grove Cemetery, N. Thayer Road.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the Bayliff and Eley Funeral Home, State Route 501, Wapakoneta, and one hour before the service Saturday at the church.
