Julian C. Koenig, 92

Julian C. Koenig, 92, of Wapakoneta, died at 4:55 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys. He was born on Feb. 6, 1921, in Wapakoneta, the son of William C. and Katherine (Frankenburg) Koenig, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include three brothers two sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and sisters-in-law, and two sisters, two infants, and a sister-in-law.

He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1942-1945.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta, the Rev. Daniel Hunt officiating.  

Burial is to follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Wapakoneta, where military rites will be conducted by the Wapakoneta VFW Post #8445.  

The family will receive friends 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Ohio 501, Wapakoneta.
