Josephine E. McEvoy, 91, of Celina, died on Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at Colonial Nursing Center in Rockford.

She was born on March 20, 1920, in Toledo, to James Butler Mowery and Gertrude Elizabeth (Hatfield) Mowery, and they preceded her in death.

On Feb. 1, 1941, she married Harry Joseph McEvoy, and he preceded her in death on June 9, 1992.

She is survived by three daughters, Mary Alexander of Celina, Marty (Al) Grosjean of Toledo and Sue Thomas of Celina; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Winget; three grandchildren; a sister; five brothers; a half sister.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Church in Celina, with the Rev. Ken Schnipke officiating. Burial will be held in Gethsemane Cemetery in St. Marys.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Friday at W.H. Dick & Sons - Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina.
