Jessalyn L. Miller, 92, formerly of 228 N. Cherry St. in St. Marys, died at 3:40 a.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013, at the Miller House in Celina.
She was born on Sept. 4, 1920, in Wapakoneta, to Vernon O. and Emma M. (Rohrbach) Miars.
On May 6, 1938, in Portland, Ind., she married Wiley Wayne Miller, who died on Oct. 23, 1991.
Survivors include three sons, Donald Miller of St. Marys, Richard Miller of St. Marys and Dale (Deborah) Miller of St. Marys; a daughter, Carol Weadock of St. Marys; seven grandchildren, Jon (Judy) Miller, Jason (Tina) Miller, Barb (Bill) Rrosetti, Kevin (Kim) Weadock, Clint (Ragen) Miller, Luke Miller and Megan Miller; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Frieda Hay of St. Marys and Wilda Felton of Casper, Wyo.
She was preceded in death by parents Vernon and Emma Miars; four brothers, Gail Miars, Melvin Miars, Orville Miars and Robert Miars; a sister, Virginia Burden; a son-in-law, Gene Weadock.
She was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School.
She was a homemaker and had worked at Sommers' Variety Store and the Bungalow, both in downtown St. Marys.
She was a member of Wayne Street United Methodist Church and Kishler's Women's Relief Corps, both in St. Marys.
Her favorite pastimes included reading and spending time with her family.
A Celebration of Life service is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Ohio 703 West Chapel, in St. Marys.
Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, near Moulton.
Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
