Jack Willard Bayman, 75, of Luverne, Ala., formerly of St. Marys, died at 5:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, following an extended illness.

He was born on Dec. 7, 1935, to Lucille (Cowhick) and George Bayman, and they preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Mamie (Russell) Bayman; his children, Duane (Bonnie) Bayman, of Luverne, Ala., Brenda Bayman (Dave Whetstone) of St. Marys, Carolyn Bayman, of Luverne, Ala., Scott (Melanie) Bayman of Luverne, Ala., and Kurt (Ruth) Bayman, of Luverne, Ala.; his siblings, Roberta Schoenherr of Utah, Michael Bayman of St. Marys, Pay Bayman of New Knoxville and Diane Zimmerman of California; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, John Bayman, James Bayman Sr. and Gary Bayman.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard.

Viewing hours will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at  Green Hills Funeral Home, 1621 South U.S. 29, Troy, Ala., 36079.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
