J. Gale Lutz, 70

J. Gale Lutz, 70, of 206 N. Spruce St., St. Marys, died at 9:21 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2011, at her residence.

She was born on Oct. 20, 1940, in Printer, Ky., the daughter of Morton “Shikepoke” and Edy the “Lak“ (Hagans) McGlothen, and they preceded her in death.

On Sept. 9, 1960, she married Kenneth Lutz, and he survives her.

She is also survived by her three children, Lori Lutz (Sue Cisar) of Marietta, Steven (Lori) Lutz of Liberty Township, Kendra Lutz of Greenfield, Ind.; six grandchildren, Mary Lutz, Grace Lutz, Philip Lutz, Thomas Lutz, Elena Cisar and Jaqueline Cisar; a stepgrandson, Mike Young; three stepgreat-grandchildren, Cameron, Carlie and Hayli; her siblings, Parker (Ruth) McGlothen of St. Marys, Jim (Valerie) McGlothen of Portage, Ind., Jerry (Roberta) McGlothen of St. Marys and her twin brother, Dale (Elsie) McGlothen of St. Marys.

Gale was a 1960 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. He had formerly worked at Goodyear Saint Marys and had worked at Big Bear Grocery Store in Saint Marys for 21 years.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Saint Marys, where she had been a Bible school teacher. She had been a volunteer with the Ohio Reads Program at West School in Saint Marys.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 W. High St., St. Marys, with the Rev. Bill Maki officiating. Private family burial rites will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where memorial donations may be directed to either the Diabetes Foundation or Auglaize County Cancer Association. Condolences may be sent to the family via
