Howard R. Harner, 90, of Celina, died on Friday, Feb. 3, 2012, at the Gardens at Celina.
He was born on May 16, 1921, in Mercer County, to Clem and Laura (Donovan) Harner, and they preceded him in death.
On Dec. 16, 1949, he married Audrey Davis, and she survives.
He is also survived by Duane (Sue) Harner of Celina; a daughter, Wanda Harner of Florida; a brother-in-law; a sister-in-law; one grandchild; two stepgrandchildren; two great-stepgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Alberta Louise Harner; a brother and sister-in-law; a sister and brother-in-law.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II in Hawaii and the Phillippines.
Funeral services will held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mount Tabor Church of God in Celina, with the Rev. Richard Van Horn and James Keiser officiating.
Burial will be held in North Grove Cemetery in Celina.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at W.H. Dick & Sons - Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina and one hour before services at the church.
