Horstman wins 3rd straight MAC Player of Year

New Knoxville senior point guard Haley Horstman won her third straight Midwest Athletic Conference Player of the Year award when the girls all-conference lists were released on Monday night.

Horstman is just the second player in conference history to win the award three times. Marion Local’s Maria Moeller won it in 2004, 2005 and 2006.

The future Findlay Oiler averaged 15.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 3.6 steals per game and shot 53 percent from the floor, 84 percent from the free throw line and 46 percent from beyond the 3-point arc during the regular season.
