Helen Hazel (Swink) Smith, 100, of 1011 Kensington Lane, Celina, died at 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26, 2011, at the Miller House in Celina.

She was born on Feb. 16, 1911, in Wapakoneta, to Harry and Mary (Varner) Swink, and they preceded her in death.

On Aug. 25, 1933, she married Gerald William Smith, and he preceded her in death  in 1982.

She is survived be her daughter, Marilyn Sue Locke of Mansfield; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Gerald Wayne Smith and John William Smith; a son-in-law; five brothers; three sisters

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Celina, with the Rev. Matt Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in North Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina and one hour before the service Friday at the church. Eastern Star services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday.
