Harry Benjamin “Benny” Young Jr., 57

Harry Benjamin “Benny” Young Jr., 57, of Summerfield, Fla., formerly of Mendon, died on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.

He was born on Dec. 7, 1954, in Celina, to Harry B. “Bennie” Young Sr. and Doris Henderson Young, and they survive in Mendon.

He is also survived by a son, Harry B. Young III of Mount Vernon; two daughters, Doris (Matthew) Crim of Mount Vernon and Crystal (Brent) Kline of Van Wert; four brothers; four sisters; three grandchildren; his girlfriend.

He was preceded in death by a niece.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Mendon First Church of God, with the Rev. Dean Bruce officiating. Burial will be held in Mendon Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at W.H. Dick & Sons - Hellwarth Funeral Home in Mendon and one hour before services at the church on Thursday.
