Harness Racing begins at Auglaize County Fair

WAPAKONETA — Victor Victory led from start to finish to capture the Moon City Trot on Tuesday night to highlight the first night of harness racing at the Auglaize County Fair.

Victor Victory captured the $2,000 purse in the six-horse field for four-year olds and older that is part of the Signature Series, a 17-race series.

Other winners from Tuesday night were Frisky Jet with jockey Mark Winters, Silk Derringer with jockey Trent Bates, Windsong Angel with Jack Dailey, Magic Casino driven by Darrell Rush, Wind Song Lynn driven by Dailey and Oh Nellie with jockey Jeff Nisonger.

The purses get bigger tonight when eight races hit the free grandstand. There is pari-mutual betting at the races. The night will close out with the Moon City Walk Pace, which is also part of the signature series.

Racing begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Auglaize County Fairgrounds tonight.
