Gustave C. Link, 82

Gustave C. Link, 82, died on Thursday, May 9, 2013, at Dayton Heart and Vascular Hospital in Dayton.

He was born on Aug. 21, 1930, to the late August Link and Anna Lennartz.

On Feb. 7, 1959, he married Betty (White) Link in Greenville, who survives.

He is survived by two daughters, Robin Link of Coldwater and Marna (Jeff) Arling of Minster; a son, Scott (Lori) Link of Fort Recovery; six grandchildren, Jacqueline, Jessica, Barbara and Gustave Link and Alicia and Genoa Arling; one great-grandchild; a sister-in-law, Anne Link of Sidney.

He was preceded in death by six brothers, Meinrad (Catherine) Link, Leonard (Fisher) Link, August Link Jr., Roman (Carmen) Link, George (Nellie) Link and Edward Link; two sisters, Mary Ann (Wilfred) Klosterman and Victoria Link.

He was a former owner and co-owner of K & L Tractor Sales, Fort Recovery, and was a 1948 graduate of the former St. John High School, Maria Stein. He served in the Marines during the Korean War. He was also a member of the Fort Recovery American Legion, Fort Recovery, and attended Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Fort Recovery.

Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Fort Recovery.

Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery.

Calling hours will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home in Fort Recovery.

Military graveside honors will be conducted by the Fort Recovery American Legion.

Memorials may be made to the Fort Recovery Community Foundation.
