CELINA — Celina (10-2, 4-1 WBL) went on a 19-0 run that encompassed most of the second quarter and rolled to a 60-26 win over rival St. Marys at the Celina Fieldhouse on Dean White Court.

Kylee Bader scored 13 points and Danielle Bihn added 10 point for Celina, which improved to 10-3 on the season. The Bulldogs remain a game in back of Bath and Shawnee in the WBL standings with a 4-1 league record.

The Bulldogs’ trapping defense smothered St. Marys (2-10, 0-5 WBL) near midcourt from that point forward, turning the Roughriders on their next six possessions as Celina took control with a 16-6 lead.

The Bulldogs put things away with a 19-0 run that spanned the end of the first quarter to the final minute of the second quarter.

Falk scored seven points to pace the Roughriders, who lost their fifth consecutive game and remained winless in the WBL.

St. Marys will travel to Coldwater on Saturday at noon and then will go to New Knoxville next Tuesday night at 6 p.m.
