Gerhard S. Kuhr, 86, of 124 Lakewood Court, St. Marys, died at 3:50 a.m. Thursday, April 18, 2013, at the St. Marys Living Center.
He was born on Sept. 25, 1926, in Brno, Czech Republic, the son of Frank and Josephine (Schefczik) Kuhr.
He married Naida Sweet on July 21, 1951, and she preceded him in death on Aug. 18, 2007.
He is survived by his four children, Irene Kuhr of St. Marys, Mark (Rosie) Kuhr of Celina, John Kuhr of Lima and Ann (Mike) Brugger of Englewood; by two grandchildren, Charlotte and Michelle.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; a daughter, Sharon Kuhr; sister Ilsa Schmiessing; a brother, Leo Kuhr.
Gerhard attended high school in Brno and emigrated to the US after World War II. He retired from Minster Machine Company, where he was an electrician. He was a member of the Buzzard Baiters Radio Controlled Flying Club in St. Marys and he enjoyed photography and working on his computer. He loved riding his motorcyle.
