Genevieve “Peg” Thees Heppeard, 91

Genevieve “Peg” Thees Heppeard, 91, of Celina, died on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.

She was born on Oct. 4, 1920, in Toledo, to Roy and Ruth E. “Petie” (Tester) Saunders, and they preceded her in death.

On April 7, 1942, she married Frederick B. Thees, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 20, 1967. On Oct. 11, 1998, she married Chester S. Heppeard, and he preceded her in death on March 2, 2000.

She is survived by a daughter, Karen L. (John Kuhn) Andrews of Celina; two stepdaughters, Susan and Marjorie; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Frederick B. “Heav” Thees Jr.; a daughter, Kathy M. Hymer; a grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at W.H. Dick & Sons - Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, with the Rev. Richard VanHorn officiating. Burial will be held in Mendon Cemetery.
