“At the end of the half the score was 15-all,” Rangers head coach Kort Fledderjohann said. “Two out of three possessions we got screened on the body and they hit two bombs from the corner. In the third quarter we started out slow and not ready to play. They scored 13 points and that was the ballgame.”

The Wildcats traveled to Sidney and captured a 63-60 victory on opening night of boys basketball hoops.

"I told our kids this is something we can build upon because we are going to be in very many, many more dog fights if we are ready to play," said Mike Lee. "That's a learning experience you build from."

Adam Niemeyer led Minster with 17 points. Devon Poeppelman had a double-double scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Ethan Wolf finished with 12 points and eight rebounds. Brandon Hoying added nine points for the Wildcats.
