Frank Engle, 51, passed away on Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, in Dayton. 

He was born on June 16, 1960, in Mendon, to Benjamin and Janice (Severns) Engle, and his mother preceded him in death. His father and stepmother, Betty, survive him in Celina.

On Feb. 14, 1998, in Dayton, he married Katherine Messer, and she survives him.

He is survived by two sons, Justin (Brittany) and William (Stephanie), both of Dayton; a sister, Linda Sue Engle of New Lebanon; his brothers, Curtis, Benjamin Todd (Angie) and Trent (Julie), all of Dayton; his stepbrothers,  Craig (Brenda) McDermitt of St. Marys, Mike McDermitt of New Bremen and John (Sally) McDermitt of Celina; three grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law,  LaVerna and Ron Bryant of Hillsboro; numerous nephews and nieces. 

He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Engle of Dayton; a stepsister, Deanna McDermitt Slone of St. Marys. 

Frank worked in the water treatment plant at Sugarcreek Packing for five years.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton.

Burial is to follow at Swamp College Cemetery in Celina, with the Rev. Johnny Mobley officiating at the brief graveside ceremony.
