Frank E. Hisey, 92, of Celina, died on Monday, June 25, 2012, at The Gardens at Celina.
He was born on Feb. 3, 1920, in Monticello, Ind., to John and Hazel (Wilson) Hisey, and they preceded him in death.
On Dec. 7, 1938, he married Wanda Lucille (Woods), and she preceded him in death on Oct. 12, 1998.
He is survived by two sons, Frank E. Hisey Jr. of Celina and Carl (Billie) Hisey of Celina; four daughters, Sue (Joe) Collins of Amelia Island, Fla., Jeannie (Ralph) Snyder of Van Wert, Debbie Hisey of Celina and Jackie Hisey of Celina; a sister; 20 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Juanita “Dolly” Goodwin and Diana Hughes; two brothers.
He received three Bronze Starts for his service as a combat engineer in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Swamp College Cemetery in Celina, with the Rev. Dave Dennis officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Celina American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars Honor Guard.
There will be no calling.
