Frances “Frankie” Bowling, 73

Frances “Frankie” Bowling, 73, of 125 East Bank Road, St. Marys, died at 3:03 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

She was born on July 17, 1938, in Wayland, Ky., to Roy and Sarah (Banks) Lykins, and they preceded her in death.

On July 20, 1957, in Rockholds, Ky., she married Frank Bowling, and he survives.

She is also survived by three children, Mike (Denise) Bowling of Mendon, Cindy (David) Gayer of St. Marys, Tim (Karen) Bowling of St. Marys; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Florence (Jerry) Like of Napolean.                               

She was preceded in death by a sister, Janice Chiles-Vogan.

She was a 1955 graduate of Wayland High School in Wayland, Ky. She was a retired production employee for the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. in St. Marys. Previously, she worked at Hayes-Albion Corp. in Spencerville and the pickle factory in Celina.

She was a member of Only Believe Ministries in Botkins.

Frankie will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Rites are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West Chapel), St. Marys, with the Rev. Ed Ingraham officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
