ST. MARYS — Two weeks after a majority of St. Marys City Councilors voted against making Greg Foxhoven the city's full-time safety-service director, they reversed the decision and removed the interim label from his title.
In a 4-3 vote, Foxhoven was approved to serve as the city's full-time safety-service director during Monday night's St. Marys City Council meeting. Council President Dan Hoelscher requested councilors reconsider their decision — and Jim Harris, who was one of the four councilors who voted against making Foxhoven the full-time safety-service director two weeks ago, made a motion to reconsider the ordinance. Following the motion, Harris, John Bubp, Robin Willoughby and Bob Fitzgerald voted in favor of the ordinance. Dennis Vossler, Bill Slemmons and Ron Ginter voted against the measure. The vote means Foxhoven will be the city's third full-time safety-service director in less than two years.
