FT. LORAMIE — New Bremen’s gameplan found roadblocks when three of its running backs went down to injury on Friday night against a tough Fort Loramie defense.

For Fort Loramie it was open highway in a Route 66 battle.

With a pair of touchdowns in the first half and three touchdowns in the fourth quarter allowed the Ft. Loramie Redskins to beat the Cardinals 34-0.

“They are a good football team,” New Bremen head coach Rob Messick said. “They just outmatched us physically up front and we just have to get better.”

“We lost three of our running backs in this game,” Messick said. “I felt bad because Elliott had nothing left and our whole game plan was to get it outside and we lost the guys who get it outside.”

The Cardinals (0-2) travel to Marion Local next Friday for a MAC game against the Flyers.
