MINSTER — On homecoming night, the Minster Wildcats did all of their scoring in the first half and dominated Fort Recovery, 28-6.

“The first half looked good,” Minster head coach Nate Moore said. “We were executing the offense and coach (Rob) Messick called a great game. We need to be able to close a game out like we need too. We had an opportunity to close the game out on our terms and we didn’t get that done so it will be something we will be working on this week.”

Minster running back Korey Schultz rushed for 184 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries to lead the way for Minster. He had a 77-yard touchdown run as he cracked 180 yards on the ground for the second straight week.

Minster quarterback Adam Niemeyer finished the game 14 of 22 for 221 yards with a touchdown and an interception.

Devon Poeppelman made seven catches for 106 yards on the night.

Minster improves to 6-2 overall and 4-2 in the MAC while Fort Recovery falls to 3-5 on the season and 1-5 in the conference.

Minster travels to Versailles for another league matchup next Friday.
