Flora Zecca Ziskind, 86

Flora Zecca Ziskind, lovingly known as “Nanny,” 86, peacefully passed away on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at her residence in New Knoxville.

She was born on Feb. 26, 1926, in Cerlano, Italy, to Sebastiono and Maria (Liguori) Zecca, and they preceded her in death.

She is survived by two daughters, Lana (Stephen) Uhlik of New Knoxville and Patricia Koutsoupis of New York; a brother, Serge (Angie) Zecca of Larchmont, N.Y.; a sister, Jeanette (Ross) Fulco of Scarsdale, N.Y.; two granddaughters.

She was raised in Paris, France, and came to the United States as a young woman, and she was very proud to become a U.S. citizen. She lovingly supported The Way International and enjoyed attending fellowships throughout the years.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Way International in New Knoxville.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Cisco Funeral Home in St. Marys.
