Eunice M. Kohlreiser, 79, of 1523 Klosterman Lane, St. Marys, died at 7:45 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, at the St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
She was born on May 13, 1932, in New Knoxville, to Erbin and Luetta (Piepmeyer) Stienecker, and they preceded her in death.
On Aug. 11, 1951, she married Robert L. Kohlreiser Sr., and he survives in St. Marys.
She is also survived by her children, Marilyn (Larry) Mills and Mary (Mike) Zimmerman, both of St. Marys and Robert Kohlreiser Jr. of California; her grandchildren, Shawn (Alexandra) Mills of North Ridgeville, Ryan (Jasmine) Mills of Mendon, Chad (Christina) Luedeke of Union City, Tenn., MMCS Brock Luedeke of Norfolk, Va., and Ashley (Dominic) Helmstetter of Tiffin; her great-grandchildren, Jeremy and Conner Mills, Nick Luedeke, Miley and Skylar Helmstetter; her great-stepgrandchildren, Xaiver and Gabreil Hagens; a brother, Nathan (Georgeann) Stienecker of Wapakoneta; a sister, Grace (Francis) Carmean of St. Marys.
She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Christy Ann Mills and Jamie Lyn Mills; a stepgranddaughter, Lendsay Zimmerman; five siblings, Roland Stienecker, Merlin Stienecker, Vernon Stienecker, Edith Rosengarden and Bernice Smith.
Mrs. Kohlreiser was a member of the St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in St. Marys. She was a homemaker and had previously been employed at Goodyear of St. Marys, the former Cotton Mills and at Huffy’s in Celina.
She enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, baking, trips to Las Vegas, ballroom dancing and spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen, with the Rev. Ed Bray officiating. Burial will follow in the Pilger Ruhe Cemetery in New Knoxville.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
