Ernest J. Street, 58, of 225 S. Pear St., St. Marys, died at 10:25 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

He was born on April 26, 1954, in Sidney, to Ernest and Hilda (Marshall) Street, and his father preceded him in death. His mother survives him in St. Marys.

He is also survived by a daughter, Precious (Shane) Rowe of St. Marys; three grandchildren, Dylan Meinerding, Ashtin Rowe and Nadia Rowe; six siblings, Larry (Dee) Street of St. Marys, Patti (Bob) Hull of Lake Wales, Fla., Gloria May of Dayton, Freddy Street of Versailles, Lisa Street of St. Marys and Clarice (Bob) Hall of St. Marys; his biological son, Dusty (Theresa) Baumgarter of Florida; his girlfriend, Deb Henning of St. Marys; numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronnie Street and Teddy Street.

He was a 1973 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. He was a laborer for H. A. Dorsten Construction Co. in Minster. He was a member of Eagles Lodge Aerie 767 in St. Marys.

Ernest was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed hunting, camping and participating in turkey shoots. Most of all, he enjoyed the times he spent with his family and close friends.

Rites are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West Chapel), St. Marys. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home on Ohio 703 West.
