Ermon Eldon Huston Sr., 82, of Mendon, died at 4:18 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011, at St. Rita’s Medical Center.

He was born on April 12, 1929, in Mercer County, to George Elmer and Della Beatrice (Gause) Huston.

On Feb. 14, 1997, he married Cindy Jones, and she survives him.

He is also survived by two sons, Ermon “Sam” Huston of Celina and Ronald “Dean”  (Darlene) Huston of Coldwater; three daughters, Kathy Louise Hollon of St. Marys, Viola “Jean” Huston of Celina and Beverly A. Huston of Celina; a stepson, Christopher Jon Schoenleben of German Town; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Gail Schoenleben of West Carrollton; four brothers; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceeded in death by his first wife, Irene Ryle; his second wife, Betty Vorhees; a brother; a sister.

Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina, with the Rev. Randy Christian officiating. Burial will follow in Swamp College Cemetery in Celina.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and one hour before the service on Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Health Professionals and Hospice in Celina.
